1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CodeHandbook("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
CodeHandbookis a gamified e-learning platform designed to help developers master coding concepts through handbook lessons, and practice quizzes. We provide both free and paid ("Pro") content.
3. User Accounts
- Account Required: You must create an account to access the Platform's content and features, whether using the free or paid version.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in suspicious activity.
4. Pro Lifetime Access & Payments
- One-Time Payment: Pro access is granted via a single, one-time payment. There are no recurring fees or subscriptions.
- Lifetime Access: "Lifetime Access" refers to the lifetime of the Platform. If the Platform is discontinued, access to content may be terminated, though we will aim to provide reasonable notice and downloadable alternatives where possible.
- Refund Policy: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are unsatisfied with the Platform, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date. This right does not apply once you have completed a significant portion of the content (more than 50 lessons). After 14 days, all sales are final.
- Price Changes: We reserve the right to change the price of the "Lifetime Access" package at any time. This will not affect users who have already purchased access.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (including but not limited to lessons, quizzes, code examples, text, graphics, and logos) are and will remain the exclusive property of CodeHandbook and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
Limited License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
6. Third-Party Resources
Our lessons and challenges may include links to third-party websites, tools, or libraries (e.g., npm packages, external documentation, or public APIs).
- We have no control over the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
- We are not responsible for any damage or loss caused by your use of any such content, goods, or services.
- Code examples using external libraries are for educational purposes only; always check the official documentation and security of any package you install.
7. Gamification & Virtual Rewards
The Platform includes a virtual progress and reward system ("XP", "Levels", "Streaks"). These virtual items:
- Have no real-world monetary value.
- Cannot be exchanged for real currency or goods.
- Are not property of the user.
- May be modified, reset, or removed by us at any time without liability.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any illegal purpose.
- Attempt to bypass or break any security mechanism on the Platform.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data or content from the Platform without express written permission.
- Share your account credentials with others to bypass Pro subscription requirements.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AND HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OR OTHER VIOLATION OF RIGHTS.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE (E.G., JOB OFFERS, SKILL MASTERY) WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
10. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL CodeHandbook, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
